cut to the chase, here's my take
A beautiful hotel that delivers an really good stay. The beach is conveniently right across the street, and the breakfast buffet is excellent with many options. Rooms are modern, clean, and designed for comfort. The service is extraordinary. It's also just a short stroll to the old town.

The hotel is clean and efficient. Good location. The staff are helpful and the rooms are cleaned daily. The restaurant has a nice environment as well as the pool bar. Swimming pool is a decent size for the hotel.
As always the stipulation of not reserving sunbeds around the pool area before breakfast or after this time is ignored which means most of the beds are reserved by 8am. Some beds are reserved before 7.30am!! If only hotels would manage this more efficiently the mornings would be more relaxed and everybody would have an opportunity to use some of the facilities they have paid for. Breakfast menu did not alter and very much.

Management excellent, free upgrade, food very good. More than 1.5 km to town but walk flat and good exercise.

Wow what a hotel, staff are amazing, from the Maitre d, Vasilias, to the Manager of Staff and operations, attention is paied to detail and guests treated very well.Rooms are cleaned to a very high standard. I would definately return if I wasn't planning on staying in another part of Crete. Dinner is also very good the chef is real star and his food is of a very high quality. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and for a 4 star this place is unreal

We loved relaxing by the private beach and enjoying drinks brought to us. The breakfast was fantastic, and we explored the medieval old town, filled with shops and nightlife. The pools were great, with a separate one for kids.
The gym was quite small, lacking a good variety of equipment, a bummer since we wanted to stay active while on vacation.

Great service and excellent facilities/comfort. Location is ideal as it is separate from all the other hotels, so beach is quite private, and Rethymno center is just a 15 minute stroll.
